Sometimes I lose sight of my character. Often in the first draft because I’m concentrating on plot and just moving forward. But it’s hard keeping a grasp on her. I even write down a few main characteristics on a doc to help me focus, but the words don’t always help.

I hate to state the obvious but July is over in… Two more weeks. TWO MORE WEEKS. And that is when I have to have my YA novel all drafted out, and ready for revisions. So a warning, blogging here for the next few weeks could get crazy frantic as my stress level builds to excessiv
